GO-ON® (Sodium Hyaluronate) is indicated as a viscoelastic supplementation for synovial fluid in the knee.1 Sodium Hyaluronate is present in high concentrations in the synovial fluid. It plays a significant role in modulating the physical and mechanical interaction between adjacent tissues functioning as a tissue lubricant.1 Intra-articular injection of hyaluronic acid temporarily restores the lubricating and shock-absorbing properties of synovial fluid, promotes hyaluronic acid production in the joint, and prevents cartilage erosion.2 The intra-articular hyaluronic acid injectables differ in molecular weight, with the intermediate molecular weight hyaluronic acid provides optimum stimulation of biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid in the joints.3,4*
GO-ON® is an injection that is administered once a week for five weeks.1 Local side effects such as pain, sensation of heat, reddening and swelling may occur at the injection site. If these symptoms occur, ice may be applied locally to the injected joint.1
**Intermediate molecular weight defined as 500,000 to 4,000,000 Dalton.3
